Golden rays

Ove Hoegh-Guldberg shares the wow factor at Sandra Critelli's photos of the mass of migration of golden sting rays off the northern tip of Yucatan.

Reminds me of Escher (e.g. Sky and Water 1 [1938], Metamorphosis 2 [1940] or Liberation [1955]), only it's much more fascinating.

The Book of Barely Imagined Beings by Caspar Henderson is published by Granta in the UK and by Chicago University Press in the US. In 2013 it was shortlisted for the Royal Society Winton prize for science books, a Society of Biology award, and the British Book Design Awards.
